Focus on Fabulous Fine Art

This exciting course is designed to take your portrait photography to a whole new level. You will learn the art of getting noticed, of capturing great images anywhere, and how to create some of Bambi’s signature Newspaper dresses. This course is designed to instruct you not only in the art of posing and lighting, but also on what makes an outstanding image that will separate your work from those of others. Ms Bambi will show concepts in creating sexy gowns from just random cloth, newspapers, and even maybe bubble wrap! This course is more about fine art, and conceptual thinking. If you want to not only improve your technical skills, but in addition learn to create interesting images from simple props, simple inexpensive garments than this is the program for you.

You will learn how to light those photographs for drama, and impact.
You will learn the art of dramatic posing, and interaction with the subject.
You will learn how to successfully Photoshop those images quickly, and in such a way that your clients rave about you!

The 2-Day Intensive Workshop will be an exclusive programme open to a maximum of 20 participants. This workshop is to stimulate creative thinking, to explore concepts in the art of posing, and lighting, and ways to create a unique style. Ms Cantrell’s objective is to provide a foundation and education so profound, that the students leave with all of the tools necessary to capture unique, creative images that set them and their business apart from the rest.

DAY 1 – 23 MARCH, 2012
09:00 – 10:30 Class orientation. Get to know you session. Each student will be interviewed briefly, and Ms Cantrell would like to have one image for critique. A quick critique session on each image presented, to lay the basis for their personal weaknesses, and strengths.

10:30 – 12:00 Ms Cantrell will cover posing and lighting basics for the individual, and couples. This is lecture oriented.

12:00 – 13:00 Lunch

13:00 – 15:30 Models will be provided for practice sessions on the concepts covered. Small groups of 5 will be formed and each group is given a model (s) to work with for approximately 30 minutes. The groups will be rotated so that all will have the opportunity to work with each model. Bambi will rotate from group to group, so that each student has the opportunity to have personal attention.

15:30 – 17:00 Resume to the class and review the challenges, and problems if any that the students had.

DAY 2 – 24 MARCH, 2012
09:00 – 10:30 Critique of two images per student, from day one’s photo shoot.

10:30 – 12:00 Concepts in creativity. During this session the students will be exploring creative concepts to get them noticed by new clients. Models are used to practice, and in addition, refine concepts learned on day one.

12:00 – 13:00 Lunch

13:00 – 15:00 Marketing, branding, and album design.

15:00 – 17:00 Review

19:00 – 23:00 BBQ Dinner by the Poolside and Closing Award Ceremony
